Whirlwind wedding weekend and more!

Had such a lovely time at Lindsey and Ted's wedding, I'm just a wee bit tired now though...not as young as I once was :)  It was so much fun, we got down Saturday afternoon and walked over to High Point University...a little further than we'd originally thought.  Wow, talk about a school doing some rebuilding, it was insane - almost every building was new.  They had fountains everywhere, statues everywhere, they even had a full arcade in the students center...very different from Sewanee!

Anyway, we got back to the hotel, got ready and were whisked away to the wedding.  The ceremony was beautiful, Lindsey could not have looked prettier and the church was just lovely.  We were then taken to the reception at Lindsey's house which was also so wonderful.  Other than the perfect weather and the amazing setting, it was just so great to see so many people that I hadn't seen in so long.  I guess that's one of the best parts of weddings.  I saw old camp friends, my parents friends, Sewanee friends, and more.  It was great to catch up with each of them and it did make me miss being down south a bit.

As I said, the reception was just perfect - we started out on the back terrace which was beautiful, I felt like we were in The Great Gatsby!  We then moved to the front yard where a huge tent was set up.  Once things got going the band started and they were insane - they never stopped playing.  If you ever need an amazing band, I would definitely suggest Party on the Moon.  Everything about the evening seemed to work out perfectly and I think Lindsey and Ted were really very happy.

Wonderful Sewanee friends

Big sis - her wedding's next!

Sunday we stopped at Chapel Hill and said hi to my brother which was also a lot of fun.  We got to see his new house (which is amazing), visit with him, and see Sally Mac!

Now that I'm back in DC things are starting to ramp up.  As I've been hinting, I'm moving out of the city in 2 weeks so I need to begin to get myself together!  More to come on that soon but for now, have a great day!

  1. SO great seeing you this weekend! [I'm still recovering from it all...]

Love The Great Gatsby comparison, by the way. :)

    Good luck with the move!
