Aahhh where did the week go?!?!

I started out so well with inspiration Monday, I had high hopes for lots of posts this week...but alas that didn't work out so well as it's Thursday and I'm only on post number 2.  Oh well it's not something to fret about, I guess it just means I've been busy (and about to get busier with midterms next week...eek!).  Anyway, this Thursday I am thankful for lots of things, but one thing I just love about fall is the clothes that I get to wear (ok I know that's a bit shallow, but I already did a semi-serious post and since I have been trying to save money being a grad student and all that this is my way of getting out my shopping obsession!).

So on this Thankful Thursday I am thankful for fun fall clothes to go with fun fall activities...and a few that I just wish I could splurge on!

Aren't these just beautiful (Antrhopologie)

So to start my outfit I usually pull out a fun pair of boots, my skinny jeans (or leggings):
Yup that's exactly how I look in my jeans too...I wish

A cute top/sweater (oversized are my favesss):

And then a few accessories that I live for/want:

Or a cute pash...so obsessed with theses - easiest accessory ever and keeps me warm as I get chilly so easily!

Oh I could go on for hours on clothes I adore...if only I had an unending bank account...what are your fall staples that get you out the door??

Fall Friday!

First, thanks to all who commented on Wednesday, I love reading comments and I'm a little behind in responding and catching up on all of your blogs but I will for sure do it soon, can't wait to check out some new ones!!

Wow, I am SO glad it's Friday!  This week was my first FULL school week, with all my classes, assistantship, babysitting, and more, and let me tell you, I'm EXHAUSTED!  I know the first week is always the hardest so hopefully as I get more into my routine it will be easier!  Anyway, yesterday halfway through the day (actually while I was on the playground in a t-shirt and shorts, brrr) the weather changed and it is now CHILLY in Bmore, is it cold where you are?  As I'm sure you can tell, I'm still getting over that summer is over and am in denial about changing my closets sooo I thought the best way to combat that would be to do a list of ten things I like about fall, so here it is and hopefully it will get me in the fall spirit!

1.  Autumn leaves - so pretty, makes me miss Sewanee as the leaves down there were just amazing...

2.  Boots boots boots - I LOVE wearing boots in the fall!!

3.  Apple picking - so fun!

4.  Fall activities - hayrides, corn mazes, that kind of thing

5.  Picking out a pumpkin

6.  Pumpkin carving - we used to do this at K!, I'm going to miss it!

7.  Every kind of food with pumpkin in it - my mom makes the BEST chocolate chip pumpkin bread!

8.  Thanksgiving - my sister will FINALLY be coming home from Boulder, I miss her so!

9.  Annie and Tyler's wedding - can't wait to get back to SC to see them tie the knot!

10.  Good running weather!

11...ok I have MORE then 10 things, now I'm excited about fall - Halloween, hmm what am I going to be this year!

I was rainbow brite last year, may have been one of my favorite costumes
of all time...
What are you excited about for fall?!?!  YAY, now I can't wait for all of these things, I love blogging - it always makes me more excited for LIFE!  Have a great weekend, I'm headed to Richmond to see some lovely friends of mine from camp, FUN!

"A Good Book has no Ending"

Good morning!  Last night as I was thinking about something to write for this mornings post I pulled out the three books I bought yesterday and thought, why don't I write about reading?  So I thought I would write about my favorite book and went over to my bookshelf to figure out what that book may be.  Unfortunately nothing stood out so much that I could give it the honor of favorite book and alas, this post turned into the joy of reading.

I love love to read, but that was not always the case.  As a middle schooler I was not a very big reader.  I didn't really like being told what to read by my teachers very much.  The first Harry Potter came out and I was still skeptical of the fad that it was.  Then one day in 7th grade I decided to see what everybody loved about Harry Potter and after a few chapters, I was hooked.

A decade later I still adore Harry Potter, but I also adore the art of reading.  I love the feeling when you can't put down a good book, when the world seems to melt away and you get lost in the adventures of the writer.  I love sitting by the beach, soaking up the sun, and reading the day away.  Or curling up by the fire, cozy under a warm blanket, reading and reading.

Another part of books that make me happy are the ability to share and discuss them.  Books can bring people together, help them see common bonds.  They help us grow and explore interests and ideas we may not have had before.  They give us the key into a life, a story, or a theory that we may have otherwise been unaware of.

Sooo that's my soapbox on my love of books and reading...now I just need to figure out what my favorite book is!  I guess I do have a multitude of favorite books.  I tend to be the type of person that likes to jump from different genre's, a fantasy, then a love story, historical fiction, then a funny, simple book...so maybe I can have lot's of favorites?  Either way...that will be another post.

What's your favorite book?  What book are you reading right now?  Currently I just picked up Zeitoun by Dave Eggers.

Happy March everyone, don't forget to say rabbit rabbit!
